အခုေရးမည့္ အေၾကာင္းအရာက Advanced Level ျဖစ္တာေၾကာင့္ အဂၤလိပ္စာကုိ သင္ယူခါစသူမ်ား မဖတ္ေစလုိပါ။ ပုိျပီးေခါင္းေျခာက္စရာျဖစ္သြားႏုိင္ျပီ ၊ အမွားျပဳလုပ္မိမည္ကုိ စုိးရိမ္သြားေသာအခါ အဂၤလိပ္စာႏွင့္ ပုိေ၀းသြားတတ္ပါသည္။ လူတုိင္းမွားတတ္ပါသည္။ သုိ႔ေသာ္ အျပဳသေဘာမေဆာင္ပဲ ေ၀ဖန္လုိက္ေသာအခါ ေလ့လာခါစ လူငယ္မ်ား ေၾကာက္သြားတတ္သည္။ အျပဳသေဘာေဆာင္ ေ၀ဖန္ျခင္းမ်ားျဖင့္ ေလာကၾကီးသာယာပါေစ။ကၽြန္ေတာ္လည္း ေလ့လာမိသေလာက္ ျပန္လည္ ေ၀မွ်ပါသည္။

Continuous tenses (progressive tenses) မ်ားႏွင့္ပတ္သက္ျပီ အဂၤလိပ္စာမွာ Verb ကုိ အပုိင္းႏွစ္ပုိင္းခြဲထားပါတယ္။ ယင္းတုိ႔မွာ..
၁။ dynamic
၂။ stative. တုိ႔ျဖစ္ပါတယ္။

Dynamic Verb ေတြဟာ လုပ္ေဆာင္ခ်က္၊ အျပဳအမႈ ၊ ျပဳလုပ္တဲ့ လုပ္ငန္းစဥ္ေတြနဲ႕ ဆက္စပ္တဲ့ စကားလုံးေတြပါ။ ဥပမာ- walk / read/ yell စသည္ျဖင့္ ျဖစ္ပါတယ္။

Stative Verb ေတြကေတာ့ ရိွရင္းစြဲ အေျခအေနတစ္ရပ္ ( a state of being ) ကုိေဖာ္ျပျပီး သာမန္အားျဖင့္ ( progressive tenses) ပုံစံေတြ ေျပာင္းလဲမသုံးပါ။
State Verb မ်ားကုိ ေအာက္ပါအတုိင္း အမ်ိဳးအစား ၄ မ်ိဳးခြဲျပီး ေလ့လာလွ်င္ ပုိမုိနားလည္လြယ္ပါသည္။

1.Verbs that show thought or opinion

ထုိအထဲမွာ နံပါတ္ (၄) မွာပုိ၍ ရႈပ္ေထြးပါသည္။အေၾကာင္းမွာ ထုိအထဲမွ ၾကိယာအမ်ားစုမွာ stative verb လည္း ျဖစ္ႏုိင္သလုိ dynamic verb လည္းျဖစ္ႏုိ္င္ၾကပါသည္။ အထက္ပါ အမ်ိဳးအစား ၄ မ်ိဳးထဲမွ ၂ မ်ိဳးလုံး သုံးႏုိ္င္ျပီး အေၾကာင္းအရာ ၊ အဓိပၸါယ္ကြဲျပားသြားပုံမ်ားကုိ အနည္းငယ္ ေရးပါမည္။

1. love

- I love you.
ကုိ္ယ္မင္းကုိ ခ်စ္တယ္။
- I absolutely love chocolate.
ငါ ေခ်ာကလက္ အလြန္ၾကိဳက္တာ။

Love က .. emotion ေတြကုိျပတဲ့ ၾကိယာဆုိေတာ့ . ( Present Continuous) မွာ..
I am loving you.
I am loving chocolate.
He is loving his job. တုိ႔မသုံးပါဘူး။ သုိ႔ေသာ္...

But tonight I'm loving you.... ဆုိတဲ့ အဂၤလိပ္သီခ်င္းကုိၾကားဖူးၾကမယ္ထင္ပါတယ္။

သဒၵါစည္းကမ္းအရေတာ့ မမွန္ပါဘူး။ ေၾကာ္ျငာ ၊ သီခ်င္းစာသား ၊ ဖက္ရွင္ ေခါင္းစဥ္ စသည့္ေနရာေတြမွာ စံသဒၵါအရ မမွန္ေပမယ့္သုံးပါတယ္။

> Scorpions ရဲ႕သီခ်င္း Still Loving You ထဲမွာလဲ “I’m loving you.” ဆုိတာ ပါပါတယ္။

>“I’m loving it” လုိ႔ McDonald က သူ႔( ေၾကာ္ျငာ) ေဆာင္ပုဒ္ (slogan ) အေနျဖင့္သုံးပါတယ္။ သဒၵါအရ မမွန္ေပမယ့္ စားသုံးသူရဲ႕ အာရုံစုိက္မႈရလုိေသာၾကာင့္ သုံးထားပါတယ္။

> maternity dress ( ဗုိက္ဖုံးအကၤ်ီ ( ေၾကာ္ျငာတစ္ခုမွာလည္း ဒီလုိဆုိထားတာ ေတြ႔ဖူးပါတယ္။ “I’m loving the hot hue, the sweet, off-the-shoulder neckline …”

အဘိဓာန္ေတြမွာေတာ့ .. love ကုိ progressive tenses - loving လုိ႔မျပထားေသးေပမယ့္ ..ဘာသာစကားဟာ အျမဲေျပာင္းလဲေနတယ္၊ ပုံမွန္သဒၵါအရေတာ့ မမွန္ဘူး။ အမ်ားကသုံးစြဲလာတဲ့အခါ လက္ခံလာေသာ ေခတ္စားေသာ(Idiomatic Uses of Stative Verbs) စကားမ်ားျဖစ္လာတတ္ပါတယ္။ ကၽြန္ေတာ္တုိ႔လုိ ေလ့လာသူမ်ားကေတာ့ အျမဲ မျပတ္ေလ့လာေနရမွာပါပဲ။

ဥပမာ..စာအုပ္တစ္အုပ္အသစ္၀ယ္လာတယ္။

A: What do you think of the new book?

B: I'm loving it so far.

ဒီေနရာမွာ..... I love it. ထက္ .. ယခု အခ်ိန္အမွာ စာအုပ္အေပၚ ကုိယ္႔ခံစားခ်က္၊ယူဆခ်က္ကုိ ေျပာခ်င္တဲ့အခါ ။ I'm loving it . က ပုိ Active ျဖစ္ပါတယ္။

- A: What do you think of the new I pad?

B: I'm loving it so far.

- I'm loving every minutes of my new job!

နင့္ဆံပင္ ပုံစံအသစ္ေလး ငါသေဘာက်လုိက္တာ။

ဒါေပမဲ့

“I’m loving my mother.” လုိ႔ေတာ့ ေျပာလုိ႔မရပါဘူး။ ( အျခား အေလးအနက္ျပဳခ်င္တာမပါရင္ )

“I love my mother.”
လုိ႔သာ..Permanent situation မွာသုံးပါတယ္။

အေျခအေနတစ္ရပ္ဟာ ယာယီ ၊ ေလာေလာဆယ္ အခ်ိန္ကာလမွာ ျဖစ္တာကုိ အေလးနက္ျပဳခ်င္ရင္ သုံးပါတယ္။

( want to emphasise that a situation is temporary or for a period of time around the present .)

အခု ေျပာေနတဲ့ အခ်ိန္ျမင္ရ၊ နားလည္ေနတာကုိ I see လုိ႔ပဲ သုံးပါတယ္။
Can နဲ႕လည္းတြဲ သုံးပါတယ္။

- I am seeing ...လုိ႔သုံးတဲ့ ေနရာမွာ သုံးတဲ့ see က...ျမင္တာ မဟုတ္ပဲ.. meet ..ဆုိတဲ့ အဓိပၸါယ္နဲ ဆုိေတာ့ ေတြ႕ဖုိ႔ခ်ိန္းထားတယ္ဆုိတဲ့သေဘာပါ.. ( Future arrangement )

- I am seeing the doctor at ten o'clock .ဆရာ၀န္နဲ႕ေတြ႕ဖုိ႔ခ်ိန္းထားတယ္ ။ (arrange with sb to meet ) ( arrange to meet )
My mother is seeing the doctor again next week.
I'm seeing Peter tonight.

ေနာက္တစ္ခုက ......တစ္ေယာက္ေယာက္နဲ႕ တြဲေနတာ..၊

Are you seeing anyone ? မင္းဘယ္သူနဲ႕ တြဲေနလဲ။ ( တြဲခုတ္ေနလဲ)

- Present Continuous ရေတာ့ က်န္တဲ့ Continuous ေတြလည္း ရတာေပါ့။

- How long has she been seeing him?
- He's been seeing a woman that I work with.
- She told me her husband had been seeing someone.
- Jane is seeing Harry. ( spending time with ) တြဲတာ..
- They've been seeing a lot of each other recently . ( ခ်ိန္းေတြ႔တာမ်ိဳး..)

native speakers ေတြကေတာ့ “I’m hearin’ ya” ( I'm hearing ) ဆုိတဲ့အသုံးကုိ သုံးၾကပါတယ္။ ..ဒီအသုံးက သူတုိ႔အတြက္ ရင္းႏွီးတဲ့စကားလုံးပါ။

“I understand your point of view.” ျဖစ္ပါတယ္။ သုိ႔ေသာ္ I am hearing .ဟာ ၾကားတယ္ဆုိတဲ့ အဓိပၸါယ္နဲဲသုံးရင္သဒၵါမွန္တဲ့ စကားလုိ႔ေတာ့သူတုိ႔ ေျပာမွာ မဟုတ္ပါဘူး။

I am hearing you . မင္းေျပာတာ ငါ ၾကားေနတယ္လုိ႕ေတာ့ မသုံးပါဘူး။

You're hearing things. ( imagining )

Hearing things/ seeing things က Idiom ပါ... တစ္ခုခုကုိ ၾကားတာ.. ျမင္တာ.. တကယ္ေတာ့မဟုတ္ဘူး... ဥပမာ.....အရက္ေၾကာင္ ျပီး.....အသံေတြၾကားေနတယ္... ဘာေတြျမင္ေနတယ္..၊ အထက္က အသံေတာ္ေတြၾကားတယ္ စသည့္ပုံစံမ်ိဳး...ဘာညာ တကယ္ေတာ့မဟုတ္ဘူး။

He is appearing on television today.

ဒီေန႔ ရုပ္ျမင္သံၾကားအစီအစဥ္မွာ သူပါမယ္။
