(၂) Amounts of time and money are usually singular 
အခ်ိန္နဲ႔ ေငြရဲ႕ ပမာဏမ်ားကို Singular verb နဲ႔ အျမဲ တြဲပါတယ္
Two hours of exercise is good for health.
Ten dollars equals to 7.5 Euros.

(၃) Either/or and neither/nor: Match the verb to the closest subject
အနီးဆုံး Subject နဲ႔ လိုက္ဖက္ေအာင္တြဲရပါမယ္ ..
Neither the boys nor the girl is here.
(the girl က အနည္းျဖစ္လို႔ is ကိုသုံးပါတယ္)
Neither the girl nor the boys are happy.
(the boys က အမ်ားျဖစ္လို႔ are ကိုသုံးပါတယ္)

(၄) Either and neither, without their partners or and nor, always take a singular verb
or နဲ႔ nor မပါပဲ either နဲ႕ neither ပဲ သုံးမယ္ဆိုရင္ အျမဲပဲ Singular verb နဲ႔ တြဲပါတယ္
Either of the apples is sweet.

(၅) When two or more singular nouns or pronouns are connected by or (or) nor, use a singular verb.
Singular noun ေတြကို or (သို႔) nor နဲ႔ ဆက္ထားရင္ Singular verb ကိုပဲ သုံးပါ

(၆) All subjects preceded by each and every take a singular verb
Each တို႔ ၊ Every တို႔ ေရွ႕ကေန ဦးေဆာင္လာတဲ႔ Subject ကို Singular verb နဲ႔ပဲ တြဲပါတယ္

Every one of the citizens has the same right.
ဒီမွာ everyone နဲ႔ every one မတူတာကို သတိထားေစခ်င္ပါတယ္..
Everyone ဆိုတာက လူတိုင္း လူတိုင္း လူအားလုံးကို ေျပာတာ ျဖစ္ျပီး အုပ္စု တစ္ခုလုံးကို ရည္ညႊန္းပါတယ္

(၇) Both, few, several, and many are always plural 
Both, few, several နဲ႔ many တို႔ကို plural verb နဲ႔ တြဲသုံးပါတယ္
both/many are qualified, few want the job, several were hired

(၈) When the subject of a sentence is composed of two or more nouns or pronouns connected by and, use a plural verb.
၀ါက် တစ္ခုရဲ႕ Subject ဟာ ႏွစ္ခု သို႔မဟုတ္ အဲဒီထက္ပိုတဲ႔ Noun ေတြျဖစ္ေစ Pronoun ေတြျဖစ္ေစ ကို and နဲ႔ ဆက္ထားရင္ plural verb ကိုသုံးပါ
She and her friends are at the fair.

(၉) Do not be misled by a phrase that comes between the subject and the verb. The verb agrees with the subject, not with a noun or pronoun in the phrase.
Subject နဲ႔ verb ရဲ႕ ၾကားမွာ phrase (စကားစု) ၀င္လာတဲ႔ အတြက္ေၾကာင္႔ စဥ္းစားတာ မမွားပါေစနဲ႔ ၊ အဓိက subject နဲ႔ verb ဟာ ဘာလဲဆိုတာ ၾကည္႔ျပီးညီေအာင္ ညွိပါ ..
One of the boxes (is) open
The people who listen to that music (are) few.
The team captain, as well as his players, (is) anxious.
The book, including all the chapters in the first section, (is) boring.
The woman with all the dogs (walks) down my street.

(၁၀) The words each, each one, either, neither, everyone, everybody, anybody, anyone, nobody, somebody, someone, and no one are singular and require a singular verb.
each, each one, either, neither, everyone, everybody, anybody, anyone, nobody, somebody, someone, no one ေတြက singular ျဖစ္လို႔ singular verb နဲ႔တြဲပါ ..
Each of these hot dogs is juicy.
Everybody knows Mr. Jones.
Either is correct.

(၁၁) Nouns such as civics, mathematics, dollars, measles, and news require singular verbs.
ဒါေတြက စကားလုံးမွာ ‘s’ ပါေနေသာ္လည္းပဲ singular verb နဲ႔တြဲပါတယ္
The news is on at six.
~ Note: the word dollars is a special case. When talking about an amount of money, it requires a singular verb, 
ေငြပမာဏကို ေျပာခ်င္ရင္ singular နဲ႔တြဲပါတယ္ ( အထက္မွာလည္း ေျပာခဲ႔ျပီးပါျပီ )
Five dollars is a lot of money.
~ but when referring to the dollars themselves, a plural verb is required.
ေဒၚလာေငြေၾကးကို ညႊန္းလိုတဲ႕အခါမွာေတာ႔ plural verb လိုပါတယ္..
Dollars are often used instead of rubles in Russia.

(၁၂) Nouns such as scissors, tweezers (ဇာကနာ) , spectacles, eye glasses and trousers require plural verbs. (There are two parts to these things.)
အစိတ္အပိုင္း ႏွစ္ခုေပါင္းျပီး တစ္ခုျဖစ္လာတာမ်ိဳးေတြကို plural verb နဲ႔ တြဲသုံးပါတယ္
These scissors are dull.
Those trousers are made of wool.

(၁၃) In sentences beginning with there is or there are, the subject follows the verb. Since there is not the subject, the verb agrees with what follows.
There is နဲ႔ There are ကေတာ႔ ေနာက္ကလိုက္လာတာကို ၾကည္႔ျပီး သုံးပါ
There are many questions.
many questions ျဖစ္လို႔ three are နဲ႔ စလိုက္တယ္
There is a question.
a question ျဖစ္လို႔ There is နဲ႔ စလိုက္တယ္

(၁၄) Collective nouns are words that imply more than one person but that are considered singular and take a singular verb, such as group, team, committee, class, and family.
Collective noun လို႔ေခၚတဲ႔ အစုအဖြဲ႔ေတြက်ေတာ႔ တစ္ဦးထက္ပိုျပီး ပါ၀င္ေနသာ္လည္းပဲ အစုအဖြဲ႔ တစ္ခုလုံးကို ညႊန္းလိုတဲ႔အတြက္ Singular verb နဲ႔ပဲ တြဲပါ
The team runs during practice.
The committee decides how to proceed.
The family has a long history.
My family has never been able to agree.

(၁၅) Expressions such as with, together with, including, accompanied by, in addition to, or as well do not change the number of the subject. If the subject is singular, the verb is too.
with, together with, including, accompanied by, in addition to, as well ေတြနဲ႔ ၀ါက်ကို ဆက္ထားေသာ္လည္းပဲ မူလ Subject နဲ႔ပဲ verb ကိုညီေအာင္တြဲပါ ..
The President, accompanied by his wife, is traveling to India.
All of the books, including yours, are in that box.
